Air transport in PR China and in India: market developments and policy implications
After three highly successful Annual Conferences on optimal use of scarce airport capacity (2007), EU-US Open Skies (2008), and innovation in the air transport industry in times of recession (2009) this year we will address the economic and aviation developments in upcoming markets.

Annual Conference on air transport in upcoming markets
The central theme at the fourth Airneth Annual Conference will be an analysis of the air transport industy in upcoming markets. The participants gain insight into the economic and aviation developments in upcoming markets (most notably People's Republic of China and India) as well as the opportunities and threats resulting from these developments for The Netherlands and Europe. 

Central questions
- What is the current political-economic situation and future outlook in the upcoming markets such as India and PR China?
 - How has the crisis affected the future economic outlooks?
 - How can aviation industries in the upcoming markets be described?
- What are the expectations about the future role of aviation in the upcoming markets India and PR China?
 - What are the opportunities and threats for the stakeholders in the European aviation industry? 
- What are the implications for a revised Dutch mainport strategy?
